Jamestown (CSi) SAFE Shelter and the University of Jamestown will host the annual prayer service for those who have suffered from domestic violence.
Sponsored by SAFE Shelter and the University of Jamestown.
The service will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening (Oct 11, 2016) at Vorhees Chapel on the University of Jamestown campus, and is open to everyone.
The service is in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and includes a Community Service of Prayers, Readings, and Hymns, to mourn those who have died, and to remember those still suffering, along with celebrating those who have survived.
Individuals of all denominations are invited to attend.
Safe Shelter’s Sexual Assault Services Coordinator Mary Thysell says SAFE Shelter has been assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking since 1980.
