- Post a fun matchy-matchy photo with your friend using hashtag #GoMatchyMatchy anytime from now until February 9 to show your support and help raise awareness for Giving Hearts Day.

Giving Hearts Day is the most generous day of the year. When first launched the online drive in 2008, the region’s generous donors offered up $325,000. The day makes space for charities to share their stories, connect with new givers and become skillful in a proven ‘friend raising’ system. It has become a gateway for people to connect to causes doing good work in areas they passionately care about.
Area organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day include:
Freedom Resource Center for Independent Living in Jamestown.
Beth DeWald says their goal is to raise $19,000
The University of Jamestown is also a participant, and reports that the University also has an anonymous donor pledging a $5,000 match if they reach $5,000 or more.
Other area organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day include: Service Dogs for America, the Jamestown Salvation Army, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation, St. John’s Academy, Jamestown Art’s Center, the Anne Carlsen Center, Farm Rescue, American Heart Association and The American Red Cross Dakota region.
The Arts Center says an anonymous donor will match up to $4,000 in donations.
All donations will be matched to a certain point. Donations will only be matched if donated online at impactgiveback.org during the day.
CHI Mercy Health Foundation in Valley City announces that contributions of $10 or more (given online) will be matched by DMF or other generous donors (up to the first $4000). To support CHI Mercy Health Foundation and have your donation matched, simply go to impactgiveback.org anytime on February 9.
