Jamestown  (CSi) Tourism Director Searle Swedlund says a large number of activities in Jamestown and the area will be held in the coming days.

On Tuesday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, he said the Kite festival in conjunction with the James River Figure Skating Club’s Car Raffle Fundraising in Jamestown at Leapaldt Park is June 9, 10, and 11, and Wimbledon is celebrating its 125th Anniversary June 23-25, 2017.

He pointed out the the 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse is open for the summer Wednesday, through Sunday from 10-a.m., to 5-p.m.

He pointed out that Jamestown’s White Cloud Days is set for July  with the White Cloud Days Parade in Downtown Jamestown July 8th.

The annual Rods and Hogs event is Saturday June 10, 2017 in Downtown Jamestown.

The Jamestown Fireworks display will be on the evening of Tuesday July 4, 2017 at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds.

Swedlund was also on the search committee seeking a new Jamestown Arts Center, Director.

He said that Larry Kopp from Pennsylvania has been selected as 20 individuals applied for the position.

Swedlund said this month’s Grant/Executive Board meeting is June 15th, at the CSi Technology Center, at Historic Franklin School.

On the agenda is grant requests the regional trail signs project, a staff request from the Jamestown Arts Center, and a request from the Jamestown Downtown Association for their banner project.

The meeting starts at 11:30-a.m.
