Jamestown  (CSi)   A special meeting will be held with townships officers on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Stutsman County Extension Office, 502 10th Ave SE, Jamestown, ND to discuss damage assessments for township roads.

Due to the recent disaster declaration, the county and townships need to conduct a damage assessment for their roads by November 8, 2019. Due to FEMA increasing requirements for damage assessments, the Stutsman County Commission is contracting with Interstate Engineering to complete an assessment for county roads.

Since accuracy and time is of the essence, the Commission is willing to include township roads as part of their contract. Townships wanting to participate would be charged a pro rata share of the contract based on the number of roads assessed. That charge would be billed to the township’s road balance with the Stutsman County Road Department.

On Monday, any townships wanting to participate in the County contract should bring a copy of their township road map indicating areas needing assessment.

Townships may complete their own assessments or contract with an entity of their choice; however, the assessments need to be completed by November 8, 2019.

Please contact the Stutsman County Auditor’s Office at (701) 252-9035 with  any questions.
