VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCPW) – Clean Up Week in Valley City is May 19th – 23rd.
City crews will collect your basic household garbage, mattresses, box spring, couches, chairs, processed wood, all wood furniture, sheet rock, and carpet. These items need to be separated into piles. Items that will NOT be picked up are TV’s, pavers chemicals tires, metal, concrete, bricks, and shingles. There is no limit on the number of bags, cans and boxes, but those items should not exceed 50 pounds per bag, can or box. Tires, batteries, and metal will not be picked up. Tires may be taken to the Transfer Station in Valley City for a fee. Batteries can go to the recycling center at 115 12th Ave SE at no charge. Scrap metal must be dropped off at Valley Recycling.
Crews will not pick up tree branches during cleanup week, they will be picked up the week after cleanup week in Valley City. Place items out on your normal garbage pickup day. If there are any questions, please call the transfer station at 845-0314 ahead of time.
Please take your grass and leaves to the grass site drop off area as these items will not be picked up during cleanup week. For Valley City residents during cleanup, items can be brought into the transfer station during cleanup week free of charge.
