Update  Monday afternoon:  Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger, has released the names of those who died Sunday in their home in NE Jamestown.

The male is Casey Gene Jensen age 33.  The female is Cherish Renae Petersen age 26.

Chief Edinger reports Monday afternoon that the crime scene has been turned over to family, and the three month old child has been turned over to family members.

He confirms that a weapon was recovered at the scene, adding that there is no threat to the public, although he would not elaborate.

More details in the investigation are not expected to be released until later this week, as the investigation continues. Edinger says autopsies were performed.

The investigation continues searching for facts, and to verify “working theories,” including establishing a time line.

 

Previously reported ….. Jamestown (CSi)  Authorities  continue to investigate a call on Sunday evening about 5:49-p.m., where two adults were discovered deceased in their home on 4th Street NE in Jamestown.

Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger says, a person stopped by the home and discovered the male and female dead.

A three month old child was found in the home unharmed, and was taken into protective custody.  Edinger said no other information was being released Sunday evening, including names, or if foul play was involved, as the investigation by Jamestown Police, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and the BCI continues.
