Jamestown (CSi) – At 12:52pm, Seniors at Jamestown High School were released by the Police.
The sweep of Jamestown High School is complete.

Sophomore students at 2:30pm
Freshman at 3pm
For students, lunch will be served. Counselors & JHS staff will be available.
Please pick up students at the west entrance and outside loop on the south side of the parking lot and exit through to the north. Buses will run.
Activities at Jamestown High School are cancelled for today.
(Jamestown, ND) On October 13, 2022, at approximately 1037, officers were dispatched to the Jamestown High School 1509 10th St NE, on a call of an active shooter. The caller reported an active shooter in a specific are of the Jamestown High School. Officers responded and were on scene in less than three minutes and entered the building. As a precaution, the entirety of the Jamestown School District was placed on lockdown as officers conducted two sweeps of the high school building. No evidence of a shooter and no injuries were discovered. In consultation with the school district, the lockdown was lifted, and Jamestown High School students were systematically dismissed from class.
In all, approximately 30 officers from the Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, North Dakota Highway Patrol, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, North Dakota Probation and Parole, United States Fish and Wildlife, as well as several firefighters and medics from the Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Ambulance respectively, responded to the scene.

Updates will be provided very shortly as additional information is provided by law enforcement.”
